Open on Saturdays 9am-3pm. It was $60 for a regular oil change. Simon (Asian skinny guy with the dyed brown hair) from the defunct 19th Avenue Quality Tune-Up is here. I didn't see any of his old crew also making the move as I used to be a regular at his old shop. He told me most went to other shops or have retired. It was nice to see Simon at least. It took an hour to do the oil change. He called me mid job that my engine and cabin air filters needed replacing. $90 (2 filters $55 and labor $35.) I said yes as I was too lazy to do it myself. It would have have taken too much effort to buy the filters myself and install it. ($22 for the engine and $10 for the cabin filter Amazon prices.) There was a slight mishap as they charged me for a synthetic oil change whereas I only got a regular oil change. The billing mechanic (not Simon) messed up. I caught it on the receipt and they had to refund me $26. Otherwise good job everyone at Sunset 76 Auto Repair. Be sure to check your receipt.

Dishonest and shady car shop. Had a simple tire and rim swap done in Nov 2025 for $125, was just quoted today for $200. Excuse was “inflation, I guess.” Literally no parts on this job, take 4 tires/rims off, put separate set of 4 tires and rims on. I doubt they are paying their people even $100 an hour for labor.

The cashier asked me my debit card code for a transaction and refused to let me in to keep my code private he insisted on me giving him my foreigner card passcode . The usual cashier never did that I’ve been coming for years. This kids seems to be a scammer please report it to the manager of the facility. He didn’t proceed the transaction (could run it as credit) and let me go with arrogant face

This place is a gem! I have had two remarkable experiences with them and have had others validate those with their own experiences. For example, my wife went out to use the car and, unexpectedly, the brakes were very noisy. They took the car in, checked it out, cleaned things up and all was well. They said, "no charge." Flabbergasted. So, a few weeks later, I decided to have them replace my tires, again, careful work, they did a bit of brake adjustment, and the time taken and cost were definitely competitive. Friendly place. My blue Honda Civic was very happy, as am I.

I have been a loyal customer to this shop for about 4 years now. Amazing service every time. Their prices are reasonable, they give honest advice and guidance for work that my car needs and are always respectful. This garage is the best I've patroned in SF, after bad service at so many others. Thank you for always squeezing me in a tight schedule and for consistent work on my vehicle. See you soon
